Being a Parent is a great responsibility. Just as you care for the physical welfare of your children, by undertaking the service of Baptism and bringing your child/children to chuch on a regular basis, you are also looking after their spiritual welfare.
Your children rely mainly on you for all they need to develop and grow. This is why, in the service of Baptism, Parents and Godparents promise to regularly bring their child to church, and to give their child the encouragement and the help needed to grow in the Christian life.
It may be that Baptism is not right for you and your family. If so, we offer a Service of Thanksgiving for a child.
